Toonaangevende leverancier van communicatiesoftware zet Micro Focus SilkTest in voor testen van applicaties 

Hoofddorp, 28 februari 2011 – Communicatieleverancier Mitel zet de SilkTest-oplossing van Micro Focus in om de degelijkheid en betrouwbaarheid van zijn producten en oplossingen te versterken. De oplossing is een belangrijk onderdeel van het softwareontwerpproces van Mitel, waarbij deze leverancier van telefoniesystemen zich richt op het identificeren en oplossen van fouten voordat een product de klant bereikt. Hierdoor kan Mitel kosten reduceren, de time to market versnellen en de klanttevredenheid vergroten.

Bedrijven zijn gewend geraakt aan een betrouwbaarheid van 99,999 procent van hun telefoniesystemen. SilkTest van Micro Focus helpt Mitel ervoor te zorgen dat de betrouwbaarheid en degelijkheid van zijn oplossingen op een hoog niveau blijven.

Leading software communications provider turns to Micro Focus application testing solution to drive out software defects before they reach the customer

Rockville, MD, February 17, 2011Micro Focus® (LSE.MCRO.L), the leading provider of enterprise application modernization, testing and management solutions, today announced that Mitel, a leading provider of unified communications software solutions, is using Micro Focus’ Silk solution to help drive resilience and quality testing across its line of products and solutions. Micro Focus Silk has become an important component of the Mitel software design process and is aimed at ensuring defects are identified and solved long before reaching the customer. As a result, Mitel is able to reduce costs, speed time-to-market and increase customer satisfaction.

Today’s enterprises have grown accustomed to the ‘five 9s’ or 99.999 percent reliability of traditional telephone systems, and SilkTest from Micro Focus is helping Mitel ensure the resilience and reliability of its communications solutions across its products and environments.

“In today’s fast paced development environments, integrated design and verification can become complicated very quickly,” said Karl Wagner, manager of Mitel’s software design environment. “We’ve been using SilkTest for more than eight years and use it to test combinations of end user interactions, product versions, and different types of products. Mitel is also using other Micro Focus products for application and GUI testing. The latest version of Silk will give the company the ability to test their telephony solutions from end to end, involving team members at various levels. Silk’s multiple user experiences for different roles will help Mitel push testing more upstream in the product lifecycle and in the long term give them even faster time to market and higher ROI.
